About The Workshop: Looking for a fun and inspiring way to explore your creativity? Then come join us for a unique and elevated Slow Haus learning experience in our Introduction to Botanical Embroidery Workshop! This class is perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics of this beautiful and versatile art form.

In this class, we'll be learning a variety of embroidery techniques, including basic stitches such as the backstitch, satin stitch, and French knot, as well as more intricate techniques. And the best part? You'll get to create a Spring-inspired botanical embroidered bandana! You'll have expert guidance through each step of the embroidery process, from selecting/creating a design and transferring it onto fabric to completing a finished project, you'll be amazed at what you can create!

But this is more than just a class - it's a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, explore your creative side, and build lasting relationships within The Slow Haus creative community! Thus we'll provide a selection of locally made snacks and beverages for you to indulge in as you connect with others and tap into your magic making abilities!

The class duration is approximately 3 hours and the cost is inclusive of all food, beverages, materials, and supplies needed to create your personalized embroidered piece. So come and join us for a fun, inspiring, and creative experience. We can't wait to see the magic you'll create!

About Embroidery: Embroidery is the art of decorating fabric or other materials with needle and thread or yarn. It is one of the oldest textile art forms and has been practiced all over the world for thousands of years. Throughout history, embroidery has been a way for individuals to express their creativity and add their own personal touch to art, gifts, clothing, and everyday items.

About The Instructor: Celina Coppetti a designer and artist based in Portland, Oregon and her passion for embroidery is contagious and inspiring. In 2017, she graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art with a MFA in Collaborative Design (Systems Design), and has been making waves in the creative community ever since. She is an artist who is deeply inspired by rituals, nature, travel, and our quest for personal growth and freedom. Her work is a reflection of the vibrant world around her, full of playful and curious energy. Celina can't wait to help you discover the joy and magic of embroidery for yourself!
